One week.
Temperature dropped to 145. Still hot but falling fast. The air quality readings are improving slightly. Still says CRITICAL but the particulate levels are lower.
I tried the maintenance hatch again. Still blocked.
I'm down to twelve granola bars. Two cans of soup. The crackers are almost gone. I've been eating them one at a time to make them last. Jerky is holding steady but I'm trying not to think about the math.
Watched Cars today. Ironic.
The bunker manual says this unit is rated for a family of four for two weeks with proper provisioning. I am not properly provisioned. I am one person stealing crackers.
There's a section in the manual about psychological resilience during extended shelter periods. It recommends maintaining routine. Exercise. Social connection via radio.
There's no radio.
I've been doing pushups. Forty this morning. Everything hurts.
